AISIN Seiki Co., Ltd., the sixth largest Tier One automotive supplier in the world, today announced that it has merged business operations with its subsidiary, AISIN AW Co., Ltd., to form “AISIN CORPORATION.”
In the Americas, AISIN Group companies include some 14,000 employees, 43 manufacturing, sales, and R & D centers, including AISIN Technical Center of America located at the North American headquarters in Northville, Mich., and FT-Techno of America, the company’s 950-acre test track and proving ground in Fowlerville, Mich.
Scott Turpin, president and CEO, AISIN World Corp. of America, said, with more than 200 AISIN companies worldwide, the merger of one AISIN company with another is not likely to create a lot of external attention, but the management integration makes good business sense and will have a positive impact on customers.
“It was the right thing to do,” says Turpin. “AW has been such an important, core part of our family and brings numerous attributes, including rapid technology development, impeccable quality, and speed. Starting today, AW becomes a driving force in the growth of the new AISIN Corporation.”
Turpin added that the merger will reinforce AISIN’s commitment to the next generation of mobility and provide an enhanced customer experience with current products as well as future technologies.
“We’ve been a global Tier One automotive supplier for more than 50 years, and we’re committed to the future,” said Turpin. “I want our customers to be confident that with our emphasis on CASE-related products and future mobility, AISIN is better equipped to face new market and industry demands. I’m proud to be part of a company that is facing these challenges head on.”
A new corporate logo and slogan is also being introduced today. The logo symbolizes AISIN’s philosophy: “Inspiring movement, creating tomorrow.” The new brand slogan: “We Touch the Future” represents the entire AISIN Group, brought together by employees’ dreams and aspirations to create a future of safe and comfortable mobility for all.”
