AISIN World Corp. of America has announced a new partnership with Manufacture 2030, aimed at supporting the decarbonization of AISIN’s supply chain. This collaboration is a key step in AISIN’s ongoing efforts to achieve its ambitious goal of Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
As a Top Ten global leader in the automotive parts industry, supplying components to many of the world’s most prominent automakers, AISIN is committed to reducing energy consumption, investing in renewable energy sources, and designing products that support sustainable mobility with minimal environmental impact.
“AISIN has been focused on achieving Carbon Neutrality for many years, and we recognize the importance of engaging our supplier partners in this journey,” said Chuck Sanders, Executive Vice President of AISIN. “After extensive consultations with our supply base, we have selected Manufacture 2030 to assist us in collecting the necessary data and driving collective action toward this goal.”
Manufacture 2030, an industry leader in decarbonization and emissions data collection, has over 45 customers and more than 10,000 supplier locations utilizing its services across multiple industries. With their expertise, AISIN is poised to enhance its ability to support customers, comply with regulations, and solidify its position as a global leader in CO2 reduction efforts.
“By partnering with Manufacture 2030, AISIN will be better positioned to achieve our ambitious CO2 emission reduction targets,” said Mark Greenawalt, General Manager of AISIN. “This partnership will not only streamline our communication efforts but also drive the necessary actions to meet our Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals for Fiscal Year 2031.”
AISIN has set and received certification for greenhouse gas reduction targets for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions through SBTi. These targets include a 46.2% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 27.5% reduction in Scope 3 (categories 1 and 11) emissions by the end of Fiscal Year 2031, compared to baseline levels from Fiscal Year 2020.
Through this strategic partnership with Manufacture 2030, AISIN aims to further support its suppliers in meeting sustainability expectations while improving operational efficiencies across its supply chain.
